The perfect outfit for film production
It is a frequently asked question.
And it is often sent to us the day before filming begins.
What is the perfect outfit for film production?
Well, we are not fashion consultants.
Nevertheless, we have compiled some important information and tips for you on this page.
- Ask yourself beforehand how you want to present yourself to your target group. Then choose your outfit. A tie (as an example) should only be included if it is also part of your everyday look.
- If you wear clothing with a company logo, make sure that it is freshly washed, wrinkle-free and in the current corporate design. Unfortunately, it happens again and again that actors wear company clothing that no longer corresponds to the current corporate design.
- Choose at least two different outfits and take both with you to the set. This way you and the film crew can make a good decision.
- Avoid wearing clothes that are too tight. You should feel comfortable while filming! In addition, clothes that are too tight will be tight when you are sitting.
- Avoid small, fine patterns. This can lead to a so-called moiré effect, which is caused by the interaction between the sensor and pattern rows.
- If possible, avoid wearing white clothes. White is not an absolute no-go, but it does tend to overshadow the face when it is properly lit and thus draws attention to itself. A white outfit filmed in front of a white wall doesn't really look good either.
A small hint:
If you're not sure if your outfit fits, ask someone to take a picture of you with their smartphone. That way you can see for yourself how you look in front of the camera!
Of course, you can also call us at any time. Our project team is always happy to help you.
